Preferred Route Exhibition (August 2009)
On the 5th August 2009 Regional Development Minister Conor Murphy announced the Preferred Route for the A8 Belfast to Larne Dual Carriageway. The new dual carrigeway will bypass Bruslee to the East and Ballynure to the West. A public exhibition was held on the 5th and 6th of August 2009. This event gave the public an opportunity to view the preferred route and speak to the Roads Service team.

Public Consultation Event (November 2008)
Following the completion of the stage 1 'Preliminary Options' Assessment an announcement on the preferred corridors to be taken forward to the next stage of the assessment (preferred Route selection) was made by the Minister for Regional Development, Conor Murphy, on 7th November 2008.
A well attended public consultation event took place on 11th and 12th November 2008, with approximately 400 members of the public attending to view the corridor options. This event gave the public an opportunity to express any concerns and provide feedback on the corridor options to the Roads Service team. Download the November 2008 Public Consultation Event Leaflet.
