A32 Cherrymount Link
Description
The scheme involves construction of a new 7.3m wide single carriageway, 2.0km in length including 4 new roundabouts. It leads from the existing A32 Cherrymount Roundabout on the north of the town to link with the existing B80 Tempo Road on the south-east of the town.
Current Position
The contract for the construction of the A32 Cherrymount Link Road was awarded to a joint venture between PT McWilliams and McLaughlin and Harvey, to a value of £5.4million. Work on the link road commenced in October 2011 and is now progressing well. Completion and opening to traffic remains on schedule for Spring 2013.
