A8 Millbrook & Antiville Roundabouts, Larne - About the Scheme
Location on Eastern Seaboard Corridor
Millbrook Roundabout: the 70 metre diameter roundabout, offset slightly south east of the A8 Belfast to Larne dual carriageway and Browndod Road, required realignment of part of the existing dual carriageway south of Millbrook. With user safety in mind, an innovative bus stop arrangement is offset to the west side of the roundabout providing easy access for Millbrook residents. The roundabout also includes measures to encourage safe usage by pedestrians, cyclists and other road users.

Antiville Roundabout: the 60 metre diameter roundabout, offset slightly north west of the A8 Belfast to Larne dual carriageway, required realignment of part of the dual carriageway north of Antiville. The new layout also required the realignment of the Antiville Road along the frontage of the Highways Hotel. An innovative free-flow lane using part of the existing dual carriageway allows Belfast bound traffic to continue unhindered uphill past the roundabout. The project includes measures to encourage safe usage by pedestrians, cyclists and other road users.
