Who is responsible for public transport in Northern Ireland?

The Department for Regional Development's Ports and Public Transport Division is responsible for duties in respect of public transport in Northern Ireland. The Division's role also includes providing financial and administrative support to help ensure the delivery of transport policy in Northern Ireland.

Public Transport Performance Division is the sponsor Division for the Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company. It also administers a range of capital and revenue grants and other funding support for public transport.
