Eligibility
All children are eligible for half fare concessionary
travel up until they reach the end of their compulsory schooling i.e 30 June of the year they turn 16.
Children do NOT need to apply for a concessionary travel pass.
Terms and Conditions
of use
- The Concessionary Travel SmartPass is issued for the sole purpose
of
proving eligibility for half fare concessionary travel within Northern Ireland on scheduled services
operated by Translink and other operators and must be presented on every journey in order for this concession
to be received.
- The pass remains the property of the Department for Regional
Development and may be withdrawn at any time.
- The personal information you
and your signatory provide on this form will be processed and held by Translink for the purposes of
managing and operating the Concessionary Fares Scheme. The Department for Regional Development sponsors
this scheme and may use non-personal statistical data collected and provided by Translink to analyse
current and plan for future uses of the scheme. The Department may also use personal data provided by
Translink to investigate cases of alleged fraudulent use.
- The use of this
Pass is subject to the full conditions of carriage of the Public Transport undertaking.
- This
Pass is NOT TRANSFERABLE, nor is any ticket issued in conjunction with it.
- The
half fare concession is based on half the standard adult single ticket. It may not be used in connection
with any other Translink offers.
- This concession is not available on cross
border services, although 50% of the cost of travel within Northern Ireland will apply. Not all modes
of public transport will be fully accessible.
- Application for a Concessionary
Travel SmartPass will not affect your rights or eligibility to DLA.
- Refunds
will NOT be given to applicants if their current period of entitlement expires prior to any new DLA
application being processed.
