Welcome to the new look DRD website. As Minister with responsibility for Regional Development, the work my Department carries out impacts on the public every day whether it is travelling by bus, train or road or turning on a tap, people rightly expect a first-class service.

Kennedy announces start of consultation process for Ballynahinch Bypass

Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has has launched the formal consultation process for the proposed A24 Ballynahinch Bypass

The announcement refers to the publication of the Draft Statutory Orders which will pave the way for the provision of a bypass which represents a potential investment in the range of £40million to £50million
